Meet Ed The Bee Guy
At Ed Agocs Honeybee Removal, honeybees aren't just our business—they're our passion. As a family-owned and operated company serving Southwest Florida since 2008, we have dedicated our lives to the safe removal and relocation of honeybee colonies while protecting these important pollinators.
My name is Ed Agocs, owner and operator of Ed Agocs Honeybee Removal. I developed a passion for honeybees when I was 20 years old and have spent decades learning, working with, and caring for these remarkable insects. Over the years, I passed that passion on to my children, who grew up helping with beekeeping and honeybee relocation. Today, at ages 24 and 26, they proudly work alongside me as part of our family business.
As a State of Florida Registered Beekeeper, I manage several hundred honeybee colonies throughout Lee County, Florida. I am also a licensed and insured honeybee removal professional with extensive experience handling honeybee colonies in residential, commercial, and agricultural settings.
We specialize in humane, live honeybee removal and relocation, including:

If you have a honeybee swarm or colony on your property, trust the experienced professionals at Ed Agocs Honeybee Removal to safely remove and relocate your bees while protecting your home and preserving these valuable pollinators.
Successful honeybee removal requires specialized training, experience, and a thorough understanding of honeybee behavior. Every removal is unique and can become quite complex depending on the location and size of the colony. In many cases, homeowners only notice a small number of bees entering and exiting through a crack, gap, or small opening in a wall, roofline, or other part of a structure. What often comes as a surprise is what lies beyond that tiny entrance—a thriving colony containing thousands, and sometimes tens of thousands, of honeybees. Inside the structure, the bees continuously build honeycomb, store honey and pollen, raise brood, and expand their colony. Proper removal requires locating and removing the entire colony, including the bees and honeycomb, to prevent future problems and ensure the job is done right the first time.
While live honeybee removal is our preferred method whenever possible, there are situations where extermination may be necessary for public safety. Colonies located high in trees, utility structures, inaccessible areas, or other hazardous locations can present significant risks to people and property. Additionally, colonies exhibiting aggressive behavior may be identified as Africanized Honey Bees, commonly known as "Killer Bees." These bees can be highly defensive and pose a serious threat to humans, pets, and livestock. In such cases, extermination may be the safest and most responsible solution. We carefully evaluate each situation and recommend the most appropriate course of action based on safety, accessibility, and the behavior of the colony.
